Data backup and recovery in Jeddah

Backups that are monitored and actually restore-tested — because a backup nobody has restored from is a hope, not a plan.

What data backup and recovery covers

Almost every business we take on already has backups. Considerably fewer have backups anybody has restored from. The gap between those two is where data loss actually happens: a job that has been silently failing for weeks, a server added last year that nobody added to the schedule, or a backup sitting on the same network a ransomware event would reach. Backup and recovery covers the monitoring of every job, the alerting when one fails, and — the part that matters — periodic test restores that prove the data comes back.

What gets backed up is priced by what it is, not by how much of it there is: servers and virtual machines, databases, desktops and laptops, and network device configurations each carry their own rate. That means you can protect the things that would actually stop the business without paying to protect everything equally, and it means the plan is legible when somebody asks what is covered.

In Jeddah: The Jeddah pattern is a business that backs up head office properly and the branches not at all, usually because the branches were added one at a time and the schedule never caught up. The first thing we do on these estates is find what is not on the list, which is almost always more than expected.
